Thermolesion is an innovative method of treating back pain when conservative treatment fails or there are clear contraindications to surgical treatment. This treatment consists in thermocoagulation of sensory nerve endings. For this purpose, radio frequency electric current is used, thanks to which it is possible to combat chronic pain within two adjacent nerve endings.

Thermolesion consists in thermal damage to nerve endings within the joints. This is done using radio frequency pulsed current (300-500 kHz). The temperature generated by the current at the end of the electrode is 70 degrees Celsius. Exposure time is about 50 seconds. The procedure is completely safe because it is performed under X-ray control. It is highly effective with minimal side effects.
